About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with 3-5 years of professional software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Rust, Svelte/SvelteKit, and LanceDB. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance backend services, modern web applications, and Generative AI-powered solutions.

The role involves building AI retrieval capabilities, RAG applications, LLM integrations, and secure enterprise AI workflows while ensuring appropriate data privacy, governance, and security controls. This role is suited for an engineer who is comfortable working across backend, frontend, vector search, and GenAI/LLM technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Rust.

- Develop modern, responsive web applications using Svelte/SvelteKit.

- Build and manage vector search and AI retrieval capabilities using LanceDB.

- Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and GenAI-powered applications.

- Integrate LLMs, LLM APIs, and AI services into enterprise applications.

- Develop workflows involving embeddings, semantic search, contextual retrieval, and vector databases.

- Implement prompt engineering techniques and contribute to AI/agentic workflows.

- Build backend services, APIs, integrations, and supporting application components.

- Implement appropriate security and privacy controls around sensitive enterprise data.

- Contribute to DLP, data governance, and AI governance initiatives.

- Implement appropriate access controls and safeguards for AI-powered applications.

- Collaborate with product, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.

- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

- Contribute to the development of secure and responsible AI solutions for enterprise use cases.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 35 years of professional software development experience.

- Hands-on professional experience with Rust.

- Hands-on experience with Svelte/SvelteKit for frontend application development.

- Hands-on experience with LanceDB.

- Strong software engineering and programming fundamentals.

- Experience developing backend services, APIs, and integrations.

- Strong understanding of modern frontend development using JavaScript/TypeScript.

- Understanding of Generative AI and LLM fundamentals.

- Understanding of : 1. Embeddings and vector search 2. Vector databases 3. RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) 4. LLM APIs and integrations 5. Prompt engineering 6. AI/agentic workflows.

- Understanding of data privacy and security principles.

- Understanding of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) concepts and protection of sensitive information.

- Understanding of AI/data governance, access controls, and responsible handling of enterprise data.

Good to Have :

- Experience building production-grade RAG applications.

- Experience building AI agents and workflow orchestration.

- Experience with PII/sensitive-data detection, masking, or redaction.

- Knowledge of RBAC and enterprise access-control mechanisms.

- Familiarity with LLM security, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.

- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, and containerized deployments.

- Understanding of enterprise security and compliance requirements.
