Role Overview :
As an Okta Engineer, you will serve as the primary architect and administrator for identity and access management (IAM) solutions within our client environments. You will work closely with security operations teams, cloud architects, and internal stakeholders to design seamless authentication flows and secure access policies. Your daily contributions will directly influence the security posture of our clients, ensuring that enterprise-grade identity management is both frictionless for end-users and resilient against unauthorized access.
- Configure and maintain Okta tenants to ensure secure authentication, authorization, and lifecycle management for diverse user populations.
- Integrate complex SaaS applications and on-premises infrastructure with Okta using SAML, OIDC, and SCIM protocols to streamline user access.
- Develop and enforce robust multi-factor authentication (MFA) and adaptive access policies to mitigate security risks across the enterprise.
- Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related issues, providing technical support to internal teams to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
- Automate identity provisioning and de-provisioning workflows to improve administrative efficiency and maintain strict compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to audit existing access controls and implement improvements that align with evolving security best practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing Okta identity platforms, including deep knowledge of SSO, MFA, and Lifecycle Management configurations.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex authentication flows and resolve integration challenges between cloud and legacy applications.
- Strong understanding of identity standards such as SAML 2.0, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, and SCIM, with the ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to translate technical security requirements into actionable configurations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, maintaining high levels of productivity and collaboration with distributed teams in Pune.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the capacity to adapt to new security threats and evolving organizational needs.
- 2 to 6 years of professional experience in identity and access management or related systems engineering roles.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in managing enterprise identity solutions.
