Role Overview:

The Lead Software Engineer / Software Engineer Specialist will provide technical leadership for product architecture, complex engineering initiatives, and platform evolution. The role requires deep expertise in C++, Qt, backend architecture, system design, and cross-functional collaboration while mentoring engineering teams and driving engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.

- Drive architectural decisions including modular, plugin-based, and extensible system designs.

- Define technical standards, design guidelines, and development best practices.

- Lead development of complex features using C++, Qt, React, and backend technologies.

- Review system architecture and ensure scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

- Investigate and resolve complex production issues across application, integration, and infrastructure layers.

- Drive performance optimization initiatives across desktop, backend, and integration components.

- Collaborate with Product Management and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical roadmaps.

- Lead code reviews, design reviews, and technical governance activities.

- Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and development practices.

- Mentor and guide engineering teams through technical coaching and knowledge sharing.

- Drive SDLC improvements, CI/CD adoption, automation, and engineering productivity initiatives.

- Support cloud integration initiatives and platform modernization efforts.

- Act as the technical escalation point for critical customer and production issues.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

- 12-15 years of software development experience.

- Expert-level C++ development experience.

- Extensive experience with Qt Framework and desktop application architecture.

- Strong experience designing scalable software systems and application architectures.

- Hands-on experience with React.js and modern frontend development.

- Experience with Python, Node.js, or JavaScript.

- Strong expertise in debugging, profiling, memory management, and performance optimization.

- Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, workflow automation, and integration platforms.

- Strong understanding of database architecture and data modeling.

- Experience with AWS or cloud-based architectures.

- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, source control, and engineering best practices.

- Strong stakeholder management, mentoring, and technical leadership capabilities.
