About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead Python Full Stack with strong hands-on expertise in Python, Django, Django REST Framework, React.js, SQL, and REST APIs. The role is suited for a technically strong professional who can lead development teams, contribute hands-on to application development, and take ownership of technical delivery. The candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, and other stakeholders to build scalable full-stack applications and integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Full-Stack Development:

- Lead the development of scalable web applications using Python, Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), and React.js.

- Develop robust backend services using Python 3.

- Build responsive frontend applications using React.js.

- Work with SQL databases, primarily PostgreSQL or MySQL.

- Write complex SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and optimize queries for large-scale data processing and reporting.

- Develop and maintain reusable, clean, and testable code.

API & Integration :

- Design and develop RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework.

- Integrate applications with third-party systems such as HRIS, benefits providers, and banking gateways.

- Work with authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2 and JWT.

- Apply appropriate encryption and security standards.

Technical Leadership :

- Lead a team of developers and provide technical guidance and mentoring.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Break down requirements into technical tasks and support estimation and planning.

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.

- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and other technical teams.

Testing & Engineering Practices :

- Develop and maintain unit tests for backend and frontend components.

- Support continuous improvement of development and engineering practices.

- Ensure application quality, performance, security, and maintainability.

- Participate in Agile development processes and technical discussions.

GenAI & Developer Productivity :

- Use GitHub Copilot (GHCP) and other approved GenAI tools to improve development productivity.

- Leverage AI-assisted development for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation.

- Ensure AI-generated code follows organizational coding and security standards.

Mandatory Skills :

- 6 to 11 years of software development experience

- 7+ years of Python experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Django

- 6+ years of Django experience preferred

- Strong experience with Django REST Framework

- 3+ years of React.js experience

- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL or MySQL

- Experience developing REST APIs

- Experience with OAuth2 and JWT

- Understanding of encryption and application security

- Experience with unit testing

- Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills

Good to Have :

- Angular experience

- GitHub Copilot / GenAI development experience

- Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, or banking integrations

- Experience with large-scale enterprise applications

- Exposure to cloud environments

- Experience working in Agile teams
