Player-coach engineering lead for an applications pod (typically four to six engineers) delivering web and mobile applications and APIs that power company's field services, after-market service portals, fleet and rental management, and operations workflows.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead day-to-day engineering of one or more digital products, sprint design, story-level technical breakdown, code reviews, pair programming, and shipping production-grade software.

- Own technical quality including code standards, automated testing across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers, code coverage targets, and technical-debt management.

- Translate the Solution Architects high-level designs into detailed component and API designs and produce ADRs for pod-level decisions.

- Contribute hands-on roughly 40- 60% of the time across .NET / C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, React or Angular, TypeScript, SQL Server, Azure App Service or AKS, and Service Bus.

- Champion DevOps from Day 1, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps pipelines, infrastructure as code in Bicep or Terraform, trunk-based development, and feature flags.

- Mentor four to six engineers through one-to-ones focused on technical growth and pair on complex problems.

- Partner with the front-office product team in Calgary and Houston, Texas to refine the backlog, estimate, and de-risk delivery.

- Own production health for the pods services. Service Level Objectives, incident response, and on-call rotation.

Required Qualifications :

- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent.

- Eight to Ten years of hands-on engineering, with two to four years in a Tech Lead role.

- Deep expertise in .NET / C#, ASP.NET Core, modern JavaScript with React or Angular, TypeScript, SQL Server, and REST API design.

- Strong Azure cloud development across App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, and Storage; CI/CD and containers.

- Proven shipping experience in agile or Scrum delivery.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Microservices and event-driven systems experience.

- D365, Power Platform, or SAP integration exposure.

- Energy-domain exposure including field-services or asset-management products.

- GitHub Copilot or Cursor fluency for AI-assisted development.
