Job Description
Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced PHP WordPress Developer with strong expertise in WordPress development, PHP, and MySQL to build and maintain dynamic, high-performing websites and web applications. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of WordPress architecture, theme and plugin development, and database design.
You will work closely with designers, frontend developers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure web solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and web applications
- Design and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Write clean, scalable, and secure PHP code
- Optimize website performance, speed, and SEO
- Manage and optimize MySQL databases and queries
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services
- Troubleshoot website issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks
- Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Implement website security best practices
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement design requirements
- Maintain proper documentation for code and processes
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress and PHP trends
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 711 years of experience in PHP and WordPress development
- Strong proficiency in Core PHP
- Deep knowledge of WordPress CMS architecture
- Experience in custom theme and plugin development
- Strong understanding of MySQL database design and optimization
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Knowledge of website security and performance optimization
- Experience in debugging and troubleshooting
Preferred/Good to Have :
- Experience with WooCommerce development
- Knowledge of modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter)
- Experience with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery
- Exposure to headless WordPress architecture
- Familiarity with SEO best practices
- Experience with hosting environments (cPanel, VPS, Cloud hosting)
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD processes
- Knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms
