Senior Wordpress Engineer - PHP/Javascript

Role : Senior WordPress Developer

Experience :

- 5+ years preferred (Minimum 3 years of relevant WordPress experience required).

We are seeking a WordPress Developer with a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, and solid experience managing high-traffic websites.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with high-traffic WordPress websites and have a keen eye for SEO best practices and performance optimization using tools like PageSpeed Insights.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.

- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and scalability.

- Ensure websites follow SEO best practices (technical and on-page).

- Monitor and improve PageSpeed Insights scores across desktop and mobile.

- Build and maintain websites capable of handling high traffic volumes without performance degradation.

- Understand caching strategies (object/page/server-side), CDNs, and other performance tools.

- Collaborate with designers, content teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust, SEO-friendly digital experiences.

Required Skills :

- Pro-level experience with WordPress development (themes, plugins, hooks, custom post types).

- Proficient in PHP, JavaScript (Vanilla & jQuery), HTML5, CSS3, and REST APIs.

- Strong understanding of technical SEO and Core Web Vitals.

- Familiarity with Google PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, and GTmetrix.

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

Nice to Have :

- NodeJS and ReactJS knowledge.

- Headless architecture understanding.

- Familiarity with Docker or any containerization tool.

- Hands-on experience with Linux systems and cloud platforms like AWS, DigitalOcean etc.
