Job Title : Senior Software Engineer - Java Full Stack

Job Description :

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with 35 years of hands-on experience to join our core engineering team. You will work across the backend (Java / Spring Boot) and frontend (React) layers of a large-scale, production platform.

You will contribute to new feature development, client onboarding, PostgreSQL migration, and platform hardening initiatives. This is a high-ownership role you will be responsible for features end-to-end, from API design and database schema changes (via Liquibase) through to UI integration and deployment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop REST APIs using Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.x for core business domains : payments, settlement, allocation, legal, and digital communications.

- Build and maintain React 18 UI components with Redux Toolkit for state management and Material-UI v5 for design.

- Write and maintain Liquibase changesets for schema evolution across Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.

- Ensure dual-engine compatibility (Oracle + PostgreSQL) for all backend SQL and Hibernate mappings.

- Integrate with internal services via RabbitMQ messaging and REST-based Feign clients.

- Work with AWS services : S3 (document storage), Lambda (rule engine triggers), SQS/SNS (async notifications), EKS (deployment).

- Implement and consume OAuth2/OIDC flows via Keycloak integration.

- Participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and maintain code quality standards.

- Collaborate with mobile, infra, and product teams in an agile environment.

Requirements :

- 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.

- At least 2 years in Java + Spring Boot backend development.

- At least 1 year of production React frontend work.

Backend :

- Java 17 : strong proficiency; streams, concurrency, generics.

- Spring Boot 3.x : REST controllers, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security.

- Hibernate 6.x : entity mappings, JPQL, native queries.

- Liquibase : versioned schema migrations, multi-DB changesets.

- Oracle SQL + PostgreSQL : comfortable writing and optimising queries on both.

- REST API design : pagination, error handling, idempotency.

Frontend :

- React 18 : functional components, hooks, context.

- Redux Toolkit : slices, thunks, RTK Query.

- Material-UI v5 : theming, custom components.

- REST API integration : Axios/fetch, error boundaries, loading states.

- Basic understanding of build tooling (Webpack / Vite / npm).

General :

- Git : branching, PR-based workflow, rebasing.

- Docker : building and running containers locally.

- Understanding of microservice architecture.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred / Nice-to-have :

- Experience with AWS (S3, SQS, Lambda, EKS / Kubernetes).

- Keycloak or any OAuth2/OIDC provider integration.

- RabbitMQ or any message broker (Kafka, ActiveMQ).

- Flowable BPMN or any workflow engine.

- Redis (caching, session management).

- API Gateway patterns.

- FinTech or NBFC domain knowledge (loans, collections, settlements).
