Job Description :

Viatris is looking for 10-12 years experienced AI Architect to design and implement enterprise-grade AI and GenAI solutions that accelerate the organization's digital transformation objectives. The candidate will bring a strong blend of AI technical expertise, data architecture proficiency, and enterprise integration experience to deliver scalable, secure, and business-aligned AI systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Translate AI use cases and business needs into clear solution requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and expected outcomes.

- Design AI-enabled solution approaches that bring intelligence into existing business processes. Establish end-to-end architecture for AI/GenAI platforms - covering data pipelines, model hosting, orchestration, and integration.

- Lead architecture blueprints for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI, and multi-model orchestration.

- Implement hybrid model strategies using OpenAI, Azure OpenA & other suitable LLM based on use-case fit.

- Accountable for defining roadmap for end-to-end AI/GenAI architecture platforms & propose solution for potential use cases.

- Accountable on model selection, prompt orchestration, retrieval design, grounding strategy, data flow, and integration architecture.

- Ensure AI solutions are designed with security, privacy, access control, auditability, observability, and responsible AI considerations from the beginning.

- Partners with business SMEs, product owners, engineering teams, platform teams, security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to shape fit-for-purpose AI solutions.

- Review and validate technical designs, solution blueprints, data flow diagrams, integration patterns, and deployment approaches.

- Define architecture standards for AI agents, including prompt management, tool usage, memory handling, human-in-the-loop controls, fallback handling, and escalation logic.

- Ensure AI solutions are scalable, maintainable, cost-conscious, and aligned with enterprise technology standards.

- Drive continuous experimentation with emerging AI technologies and assess how they can improve business processes and solution capability.

- Define non-functional requirements for AI solutions, including performance, latency, throughput, monitoring, logging, availability, and cost controls.

- Support governance review by ensuring AI solutions follow approved intake, risk assessment, architecture, compliance, and operational readiness processes.

- Identify architecture risks, dependencies, and technical constraints early and recommend practical mitigation approaches.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10-12 years of overall experience, with 5 years in AI/ML solution architecture or applied AI engineering.

- Proven experience in designing and deploying AI and GenAI architectures across enterprise environments.

- Hands-on experience with cloud-based AI services such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or LIAMA.

- Proficiency in data engineering, including ETL/ELT pipelines, streaming data, data lakes, and vector databases.

- Implement security controls - encryption, zero-trust access, and data anonymization.

- Working knowledge of AI practices - CI/CD for AI models, model lifecycle management, and monitoring.

- Understanding of security, privacy, and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) for responsible AI adoption.

- Establish partner ecosystem to bring innovation & ideas suitable for healthcare domain.

- Contribute to enterprise AI strategy, roadmap planning, and technology evaluations.

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to collaborate across business, data, and IT teams to translate strategic objectives into scalable AI solutions.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Systems, or a related field.
