Role Summary :

Only 7+ years apply. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications across multiple technology stacks. The successful candidate will have strong experience developing modern web applications and distributed services using TypeScript, Node.js, Java/Kotlin, and Spring Boot, while working within an agile product delivery environment.

This role requires hands-on development expertise, strong software engineering practices, and the ability to collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications and microservices.

- Build responsive web applications and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js.

- Develop robust backend services using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.

- Integrate applications with cloud-native storage and services, including Amazon S3.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.

- Participate in solution design, code reviews, technical workshops, and architectural discussions.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.

- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues.

- Contribute to technical standards, development frameworks, and reusable components.

Must-Have Qualifications :

A successful candidate will typically have 5+ years of software engineering experience, with proven expertise in building scalable, cloud-native applications.

Backend Development :

- Strong commercial experience with :

1. Java and/or Kotlin.

2. Spring Boot.

3. Building REST APIs and microservices architectures.

4. Dependency injection and enterprise application design patterns.

Full Stack Development :

- Extensive experience with :

1. TypeScript.

2. Node.js.

3. Modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

4. API integration and full-stack application development.

Database Technologies :

- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as :

1. PostgreSQL.

2. MySQL.

3. MongoDB.

4. DynamoDB.

Engineering Practices :

- Strong understanding of :

1. Agile delivery methodologies.

2. CI/CD pipelines.

3. Automated testing.

4. Git version control.

5. Secure coding practices.

6. Performance tuning and monitoring.

Nice-to-Have :

- Experience in the UK financial sector or financial sector in general.

- Knowing their strict compliance, risk, and security rules gives you a major edge.

Desirable Skills :

Cloud & Storage :

- Hands-on experience with :

3. AWS services and infrastructure.

- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
