Senior Data Scientist - Machine Learning

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to solve complex business problems using data, statistics, and machine learning. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, machine learning, statistical analysis, and experimentation, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Work closely with business and product teams to understand complex business problems and translate them into data science solutions.

- Define measurable objectives, analytical approaches, and success metrics for data science initiatives.

- Develop, validate, and optimize machine learning models for forecasting, classification, recommendation systems, NLP, and other business use cases.

- Conduct statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimentation to support data-driven business decisions.

- Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments to evaluate product and business impact.

- Perform data preparation, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis using structured and unstructured data.

- Develop and work with data pipelines required for analytics and machine learning workflows.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers and ML Engineers to deploy models into production environments.

- Monitor model performance, data quality, and analytical results, and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Translate complex analytical findings into clear insights and recommendations for business and technical stakeholders.

- Present data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders and support business decision-making.

- Conduct peer reviews of analytical and technical work to maintain quality and consistency.

- Mentor junior Data Scientists and support their technical and analytical development.

- Stay updated with developments in machine learning, statistics, experimentation, and data science methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8 - 13 years of experience in Data Science / Applied Data Science.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Python and SQL.

- Strong understanding of Statistics, Probability, and Hypothesis Testing.

- Extensive experience with Machine Learning and model development.

- Experience with A/B Testing, Experimentation, or Causal Inference.

- Experience with Data Pipelines, ETL, and data preparation.

- Understanding of production ML, model deployment, and model monitoring.

- Strong experience in exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.

- Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.

- Experience mentoring junior Data Scientists and reviewing technical work.
