Role Overview :

Senior Automotive Audio Software Architect to lead the architecture, design, development, integration, and optimization of advanced audio software solutions for next-generation automotive infotainment and cockpit systems.

The role requires deep expertise in Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Android Audio Framework, AudioFlinger, AudioPolicy, Audio HAL, AIDL/HIDL, Linux/ALSA, DSP, and automotive audio systems. The architect will be responsible for defining scalable audio architectures and driving technical solutions across the complete audio software stack.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Define the overall software architecture for automotive audio systems based on Android Automotive and embedded Linux platforms.

- Own the technical architecture of the complete automotive audio stack from application/framework layers to HAL, DSP, kernel, and hardware.

- Design scalable solutions for complex automotive audio use cases including media playback, navigation, voice assistant, telephony, alerts, notifications, and vehicle sounds.

- Lead technical development and customization of Android Audio Framework, AudioFlinger, AudioPolicyService, and AudioPolicyManager.

- Define and review Audio HAL architecture using AIDL/HIDL and ensure proper integration with vendor-specific audio components.

- Collaborate with vehicle platform teams to integrate CAN, vehicle signals, power states, and audio-related vehicle configurations.

- Drive architecture decisions related to audio latency, performance, reliability, memory, CPU utilization, and power consumption.
