Job Summary :

We are seeking a Senior Backend AI/ML Engineer with 5- 7 years of experience in backend engineering, AI/ML implementation, API development, database design, and production-grade system integration. The ideal candidate should be a strong developer with excellent logical reasoning, deep implementation capability, and the ability to design and build scalable backend systems that support AI-powered mobile and web products.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and application services using Python and related technologies.

- Lead backend implementation for AI/ML-enabled features, including model integration, deployment, orchestration, and monitoring support.

- Build robust REST APIs, service layers, data flows, and backend logic for mobile and web application integration.

- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design efficient schemas, queries, caching strategies, and data access patterns.

- Collaborate with frontend teams to ensure smooth API integration, data handling, and end-to-end feature delivery.

- Convert product and technical requirements into clear implementation plans, backend modules, and delivery milestones.

- Review code, mentor junior engineers, and enforce backend engineering best practices.

- Troubleshoot complex production issues across APIs, databases, deployment environments, and AI/ML workflows.

- Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining code quality, security, and maintainability.

- Contribute to architecture discussions, sprint planning, technical documentation, and delivery governance.

Required Skills :

- Strong backend development experience using Python and related frameworks.

- Working knowledge of Java and multi-language backend development environments.

- Strong understanding of REST API design, microservices concepts, application logic, and backend integration patterns.

- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar systems.

- Experience with AI/ML deployment, model integration, LLM workflows, or intelligent application development.

- Strong logical reasoning, system thinking, and implementation ownership.

- Ability to design complete backend solutions and guide implementation from requirement to production delivery.

- Experience with AWS, cloud deployment, CI/CD, containers, and production environment management.

- Strong AI-assisted coding capability using tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.

- Excellent debugging, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, or a related field.

- 5- 7 years of professional experience in backend development, AI/ML engineering, or related software engineering roles.

- Proven ability to write high-quality production code and implement complex backend logic.

- Strong experience in API development, database-backed applications, and scalable backend systems.

- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML deployment, intelligent automation, or LLM-enabled application workflows.

- Ability to reason through ambiguous requirements and convert them into complete technical implementation.

- Experience working with mobile and web application teams for end-to-end product delivery.

- Ability to work independently, lead modules, mentor team members, and deliver under defined timelines.

- Strong communication skills and comfort working with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and leadership stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, Spring Boot, or similar backend frameworks.

- Experience with cloud-native architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and AWS services.

- Exposure to vector databases, embeddings, recommendation systems, AI agents, RAG pipelines, or LLM orchestration.

- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and production support.

- Experience reviewing architecture, improving backend performance, and building reusable engineering frameworks.
