Job Description

Role Summary :

Looking for a Python full stack developer who can independently design, develop and deploy applications and AI automations. The candidate should be comfortable with Python backend development, AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and mentoring junior engineers. Angular/ React is good/great to have - provided they have Python, IaC, CI-CD experience (not mandatory). AI/GenAI exposure is a plus.

Required Skills :

1. Frontend :

- JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular/React.js, REST API integration, HTML/CSS.

2. Backend :

- Python (with FastAPI or Flask), RESTful API development, PostgreSQL or SQL Server.

3. AWS Services :

- AWS, EC2, S3, CloudFront, WAF, Glue, Elastic Beanstalk, Fargate, Secrets Manager, Glacier.

4. AI/ML Integration :

- Experience with OpenAI APIs or AWS Bedrock, RAG pipelines, PGVector, OpenSearch.

5. DevOps :

- Terraform, IaC, Git, CI/CD practices.

6. Security :

- Familiarity with identity management, network and data segmentation, secure data storage and transmission.

7. General :

- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and proactive mindset.

Screening Questions :

- What Python frameworks have you used to build your latest production application? Approximately how many users did it serve? Are the users internal or external?

- Have you personally deployed applications to AWS? What AWS services did you use in your most recent production deployment?

- Have you taken an application from business requirements all the way to production? What stages did you personally handle?

- What is your time spent on application development, deployment v/s mentoring others etc.?

- How was AWS infrastructure provisioned and managed in your projects?

- Did you personally write or maintain Infrastructure as Code?

- How were application deployments performed?

- Did you build or own the CI/CD pipelines, or were they managed by another team?

- Did you get opportunity to work on live production incidents? What approach did you use to handle such incidents?

- Of these areas, which have you personally owned : Application Design, Python Development, AWS Architecture, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD Pipelines, Production Support?
