Principal Engineer - Automotive Audio & Infotainment :

Provide technical leadership and architecture ownership for next-generation automotive infotainment and audio platforms. The role involves defining and driving end-to-end audio and infotainment architecture across Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Android Audio Framework, middleware, Audio HAL, DSP, Linux/ALSA, BSP, kernel, and hardware layers.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Define and own the technical architecture for automotive audio and infotainment platforms.

- Design end-to-end solutions across AAOS, Android Audio Framework, AudioFlinger, AudioPolicy, Audio HAL, DSP, ALSA, kernel, and hardware.

- Lead architecture and implementation of advanced audio routing, audio focus, volume management, device management, and concurrent audio playback.

- Design multi-zone audio architectures supporting independent audio sources and volume control for driver, passenger, and rear-seat zones.

- Define audio policies for media, navigation, voice assistant, telephony, alerts, notifications, ADAS sounds, and vehicle warnings.

- Lead root-cause analysis of complex audio and infotainment issues across framework, HAL, DSP, kernel, and hardware layers.

- Review technical designs, architecture documents, implementation strategies, and code from engineering teams.

- Establish engineering best practices for architecture, development, debugging, testing, and integration.

- Lead platform bring-up, system integration, validation, and production release activities.

- Mentor senior engineers and provide technical direction to cross-functional development teams.

Automotive Audio & Infotainment Expertise :

- Strong knowledge of Android Automotive OS (AAOS), Android Audio Framework, AudioFlinger, AudioPolicyService, AudioPolicyManager, AudioTrack / AudioRecord, AAudio, Audio HAL, and AIDL / HIDL.

Experience :

- 4+ years of relevant experience in automotive audio, Android Automotive, Android Audio Framework, embedded audio, infotainment, or related software development roles.
