Job Overview :

We're looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Power BI Developer to join our team. With 10-15 years of proven expertise, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Power BI solutions, from complex data modeling and intricate DAX formula creation to advanced report deployment and performance optimization. This role demands a deep understanding of data warehousing principles, a meticulous approach to data quality, and the ability to translate advanced analytical requirements into impactful visual dashboards. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy, engaging directly with business users to ensure solutions precisely meet their strategic needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated Power BI reports and dashboards that address complex business requirements and provide actionable insights.

- Implement and optimize advanced data models within Power BI Desktop, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficient query performance. This includes designing star and snowflake schemas, managing relationships, and ensuring proper cardinality.

- Write complex and optimized DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas for calculated columns, measures, and tables to support intricate business logic and aggregations.

- Conduct comprehensive performance tuning on Power BI reports, datasets, and underlying data sources, identifying and resolving bottlenecks. This involves DAX query optimization, M-query optimization, and managing data refresh strategies.

- Engage directly with business users and stakeholders to understand, clarify, and refine complex business requirements, translating them into precise technical specifications for Power BI solutions.

- Implement and manage row-level security (RLS) within Power BI reports and datasets, ensuring data governance and compliance with access policies.

- Publish, manage, and secure Power BI assets within Power BI Services, including setting up data gateways, configuring refresh schedules, and managing app workspaces.

- Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to ensure optimal data pipeline health and data availability for reporting.

- Develop and maintain technical documentation for Power BI reports, data models, and development standards.

Required Skills :

- 10-15 years of dedicated experience in Power BI Report development.

- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop, including data transformation with Power Query (M language), advanced Power Pivot functionalities, and complex DAX.

- Extensive experience with Power BI Services, encompassing report publishing, workspace management, security configuration, and monitoring.

- Strong expertise in SQL, including writing complex queries, joins, subqueries, and understanding query optimization for various database platforms.

- In-depth understanding and practical experience with Data Modeling concepts for analytical reporting, including star schemas, snowflake schemas, and data warehouse design principles.

- Proven ability to implement and manage row-level security (RLS).

- Demonstrated experience with Performance Optimization techniques specific to Power BI reports and data models.

- Solid understanding and experience with Agile Methodology in a data analytics or business intelligence development context.
