Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer with hands-on experience in schematic capture, multilayer PCB layout design, and high-speed routing. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Mentor Graphics Xpedition, PCB design review processes, manufacturing constraints, and automotive quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and develop schematic diagrams for complex electronic products.
- Create and maintain 6-8 layer PCB layouts with high-quality routing practices.
- Perform high-speed signal routing while ensuring signal integrity and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Work extensively with the Mentor Graphics Xpedition toolset for schematic and PCB layout design.
- Manage engineering data using PLM tools (SEM) and collaborate through JIRA, Teamcenter, and DOORS.
- Generate manufacturing outputs using CAM tools and support PCB fabrication activities.
- Conduct schematic and PCB layout reviews to ensure design quality and compliance.
- Perform Tool-Level DRC (Design Rule Check) and resolve layout violations.
- Participate in peer reviews and incorporate design improvements based on feedback.
- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, manufacturing, and validation teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards and automotive design processes.
- Support prototype bring-up, design modifications, and engineering change requests.
Mandatory Skills :
- Strong experience in Schematic Drafting.
- Hands-on experience in 6-8 Layer PCB Layout Design.
- Expertise in High-Speed PCB Routing.
- Proficiency in Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
- Experience with PLM Tool (SEM).
- Working knowledge of CAM Tools.
- Experience using JIRA, Teamcenter, and DOORS.
- Strong understanding of Schematic & Layout Reviews.
- Experience performing Tool-Level DRC.
- Knowledge of Peer Review processes.
- Good understanding of IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with automotive electronics, embedded systems, or control units.
- Understanding of PCB manufacturing, assembly, and testing processes.
- Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC concepts.
- Familiarity with hardware validation and prototype debugging.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Education :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
