We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing, cross-functional development team at Punchh (a PAR company). You will play a critical role in building new cloud-based products and improving core systems aligned with our platform strategy.

Reports To : Senior Director / Engineering Leadership Team

What We're Looking For :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

- 12+ years of total experience in Software Development

- 2+ years of proven engineering management experience

- Experience managing a team of 10+ engineers

Tech Stack :

- Languages : Python, Java, C#, Golang, or Ruby on Rails

- Cloud/DevOps : Deep hands-on experience with cloud technologies, DevOps, and NoSQL

- Fundamentals : Proficient in design patterns, data structures, and Test Driven Development (TDD)

- Systems : Experience building scalable microservices, web services, and distributed systems

AI/ML Focus :

- Exposure to AI / ML-driven product features such as recommendations, personalization, forecasting, search, or automation

- Familiarity with LLM-based systems, including prompt engineering concepts, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

- Experience integrating AI services using frameworks or platforms such as OpenAI APIs, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, or similar

What You Will Be Doing :

- Provide technical leadership on major projects and critical product development

- Build and lead an engineering team of 10 - 15 engineers

- Mentor engineers and help drive their career development and growth

- Contribute to the codebase early on, as the team scales

- Establish best practices for code quality and system design

- Provide technical leadership in building and scaling AI-assisted product capabilities within a SaaS platform

- Partner with Product and Data teams to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions
