About the Role :

We are looking for a skilled Genetec VMS Plugin Developer to design, build, and maintain custom plugins and integrations for the Genetec Security Center platform.

This role involves working on real-time video systems, event-driven architectures, and advanced integrations with surveillance, access control, and analytics systems.

You will play a key role in extending the capabilities of Genetec by building scalable, high-performance plugins and integrating them with modern backend systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain Genetec Security Center plugins (Client & Role-based)

- Work with Security Center SDK to interact with cameras, events, alarms, and entities

- Design and implement event-driven workflows (motion events, alarms, access control triggers)

- Build custom UI components within Security Desk using WPF

- Integrate Genetec with external systems via REST APIs, WebSockets, and message brokers

- Develop real-time data pipelines for video analytics and tracking systems

- Optimize performance and ensure scalability of plugins in production environments

- Troubleshoot and debug issues across video streams, SDK integrations, and deployments

- Collaborate with product, AI, and backend teams for end-to-end solution delivery

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in C# and .NET (Framework/Core)

- Hands-on experience with Genetec Security Center SDK

- Experience building plugins/extensions for VMS or similar platforms

- Solid understanding of event-driven architecture

UI Development :

- Experience with WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)

- Knowledge of MVVM architecture

Video & VMS Knowledge :

- Understanding of RTSP, ONVIF protocols

- Familiarity with video codecs (H.264 / H.265)

- Basic understanding of video surveillance systems

Integration & Backend :

- Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets

- Knowledge of real-time messaging systems (e.g., NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ good to have)

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have) :

- Experience working with video analytics / AI-based systems

- Exposure to mapping or real-time tracking systems

- Understanding of security systems (Access Control, ALPR, IoT devices)

- Prior experience with enterprise VMS deployments

Soft Skills :

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

- Ability to work independently and own modules end-to-end
