Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Build The People Insights and Solution Design (PISD) team at Autodesk is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to help build a secure, role-based orchestration platform supporting complex workforce transformation workflows. This role is a senior builder and implementation owner for the business-facing application and underlying workflow services, working in partnership with the Solution Architect and PISD team.
You will be responsible for implementing the business-facing UI, workflow-control services, scenario/version management, employee-level change tracking, change ledger, approvals, stage gates, audit, reconciliation, reporting, and export-ready handoffs. Your work will help internal stakeholders manage sensitive organizational change with confidence, transparency, governance, and auditability.
Responsibilities :
- Build responsive, accessible, role-based user experiences for people transformation platform, approvals, change control, workstream tracking, reporting, and administration.
- Own implementation of the business-facing UI using React and TypeScript, ensuring usability and accessibility for a diverse set of internal customers.
- Develop backend APIs, relational data models, workflow services, scenario/version management, and employee-level transaction logic using Python/FastAPI, Java/Spring, Node.js, .NET, or an equivalent enterprise backend stack.
- Implement a parallel workflow model supporting soft dependencies, hard dependencies, critical-path blockers, refresh requirements, approval invalidation, and stage-gate enforcement.
- Build approval routing, final-lock controls, immutable audit events, reconciliation logic, dashboards, CSV/EIB-ready exports, and API-ready integration interfaces.
- Partner with the other engineer and Solution Architect to ensure implementation decisions align with security, scalability, data protection, observability, and architectural standards.
- Collaborate with PISD and cross-functional business partners to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguity, and deliver solutions that align with Autodesks compliance, privacy, and security standards.
- Represent engineering in product reviews and roadmap discussions by advocating for production readiness, operational excellence, stakeholder needs, and scalable implementation patterns.
Required Qualifications :
- 5 - 7 years of software engineering experience building and deploying secure, scalable, and complex production applications.
- Strong experience with a modern frontend framework such as React and TypeScript.
- Strong backend experience with Python/FastAPI, Java/Spring, Node.js, .NET, or an equivalent enterprise stack.
- Experience designing relational data models, REST APIs, event-driven services, workflow engines, and versioned business objects.
- Demonstrated experience implementing role-based access control, approval workflows, audit logging, and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Strong understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, cloud deployment, logging, monitoring, and application support.
- Ability to work with business stakeholders and convert ambiguous operating processes into clear system behavior.
- Experience developing applications in which multiple teams act concurrently, and changes may invalidate prior approvals or downstream outputs.
- Successful track record collaborating with architects, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver production-ready internal tools.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience designing and deploying secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise applications within the AWS ecosystem.
- Experience designing, building, or supporting integrations with enterprise HR, finance, or workforce planning systems, such as Workday HCM, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms.
- Experience with organizational modeling, scenario comparison, tree or hierarchy visualization, drag-and-drop structural design, or workforce analytics.
- Familiarity with graph data models, temporal/versioned data, rules engines, or BPM/workflow platforms.
- Experience building internal enterprise products for global, multi-country users.
- Familiarity with Autodesk products, platforms, or customer domains.
