Role : MES Functional Consultant

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills :

- 10+ years of experience as MES Functional Consultant with experience in Manufacturing / Aero Domain.

- Experience in working with end users / business users for collecting the requirements for Shopfloor Application / MES / MOM Applications.

- Need good understanding of PLM, ERP, MES / MOM, SCADA, HMI, MRP etc. enterprise systems and closed loop integration.

- Good understanding of Discrete & Electronics business process.

- Good understanding on industry leading MES/MOM Products like SIMATIC IT, Opcenter, Visiprise Manufacturing, iBase-t Solumina, LIMS, Seiki Air etc.

- Experience in working with SCADA / Machine (OT), Edge Computing / IoT, Plant Intelligence (IoT), IT/OT - Remote Env monitoring system, Smart Tooling Control and Data Collection.

- Experience in working with Non-Contact Inspection, Contact Inspection, Test Rigs, Real Time Test Systems, Quality & Containment Management, Quality & Inspection Tools, NC Validation, Visual Inspection.

- Experience in working with WINCC, Part Program Delivery (DNC), Seiki Air, Robotics Automation.

- Stakeholder facilitation can extract tacit knowledge from SMEs.

- Ability to understand shopfloor application functionality and collect new requirements from business users.

- Ability to produce / create end-to-end business processes and transaction flows by understanding shopfloor systems.

- Experience in doing reverse-engineer of the legacy system to produce traceability between code, requirements and tests.

- Knowledge on Legacy-to-cloud modernization projects and migration patterns.

- Good Knowledge of Agile framework.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Capture and document end-to-end business processes and transaction flows.

- Lead MES application discovery to understand AS-IS processes, configurations, customizations, and integrations.

- Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews with Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and Business teams.

- Build and maintain a comprehensive Shopfloor / MES application and integration inventory across plants/sites.

- Assess business criticality, manufacturing impact, and operational dependencies of the applications.

- Evaluate technical architecture, integrations, and customization footprint within the MES/shopfloor application landscape.

- Analyze modernization, cloud readiness, and technology debt of MES/shopfloor applications.

- Define rationalization recommendations (retain, consolidate, modernize, replace, retire) with clear rationale.

- Design target-state MES and manufacturing IT architecture aligned to enterprise standards.

- Develop migration and transition strategies, including risks, dependencies, and phased rollouts.

- Produce executive-ready assessment reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support leadership decisions.

- Analytical modeling and creating precise process flows, decision tables, and acceptance criteria.

- Requirement gathering, fit gap analysis and solution blueprint.

- Coordination with manufacturing site, contextualize shop floor operations, understand & support customers manufacturing & business processes.

- Closely coordinate and work with product team to ensure seamless operations, upgrades, implementations etc.
