Role Overview :

As a Lead Firmware Engineer based in Pune, you will spearhead the design, development, and optimization of complex embedded systems that power our next-generation product portfolio. You will act as the technical anchor for the firmware team, collaborating closely with hardware architects, cross-functional software teams, and product stakeholders to translate high-level requirements into robust, scalable system architectures.


Your work will directly influence the performance, reliability, and user experience of our devices, ensuring that our technology remains at the cutting edge of the industry. By driving technical excellence and mentoring junior engineers, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact solutions that meet stringent performance benchmarks and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement high-performance firmware solutions using C and C++ to ensure optimal system efficiency and stability across diverse product lines.

- Lead the development and maintenance of Board Support Packages (BSP) and custom bootloaders to facilitate seamless hardware-software integration.

- Design and optimize complex device drivers and middleware components to maximize the utilization of ARM-based microcontrollers.

- Establish and enforce rigorous debugging and testing protocols to identify and resolve critical system bottlenecks, ensuring superior product quality for end-users.

- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to define system architecture and communication protocols, ensuring alignment between physical hardware capabilities and software functionality.

- Mentor team members on best practices in embedded C development and RTOS-based design to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Skillset :

- 9 to 12 years experience as a Firmware Engineer

- Embedded Hardware : Deep understanding of MCU/SoC hardware design and Analog and digital circuits.

- Experience with PCB design flows and layout reviews and EMC/EMI fundamentals and debugging.

- Hands on lab experience (scope, logic analyzer, power analysis).

- Strong embedded C expertise.

- Real time firmware development (RTOS or bare metal).

- Debugging using JTAG/SWD, trace tools.

- Bootloader and firmware update concepts.

- Experience with industrial communication interfaces.

- Ability to reason across HW, FW, timing, power, and system constraints.

- Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
