The Deputy Manager Supply Chain Solution Design
The Deputy Manager Supply Chain Solution Design is a data science role responsible for leading projects in collaboration with Supply Chain groups to increase profitability, drive greater efficiencies, and improve customer service.
This role will be expected to transform complex supply chain data into actionable insights, seek out global project opportunities, and build trust within the organization by establishing strong relationships and a track record of delivering valuable results.
This role will mentor other members of the Supply Chain Solution Design team and play a key part in the development of advanced analytics capabilities.
The Supply Chain Design team is a part of Kitchen & Bath Global Supply Chain group and is responsible for supporting data and analytics needs across multiple Supply Chain teams, such as Customer Service, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Transformation, Sales & Operations Planning, etc.
Role And Responsibility :
- Develop solution approaches to complex supply chain problems in collaboration with various supply chain groups.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders and SMEs to ensure alignment and build business as well as data universe understanding.
- Design and implement scalable and robust models (statistical/simulation/data science models) that aid in decision-making.
- Drive deployment and adoption.
- Prepare project plans and execute/manage solution delivery.
- Transform datasets and analytics into compelling visuals that provide business insights.
- Mentor team members in applying advanced analytical techniques.
- Continuously churn out POCs and build project pipelines for the team.
- Be a vocal thought leader and advocate of Kohlers data-driven transformation.
Experience Requirement :
Qualification and Experience Requirements :
Must Have :
- Bachelors degree in mathematics, statistics, industrial engineering or similar.
- Demonstrated proficiency in building simulation models (discrete / agent based), scenario cockpits and predictive models in the areas of inventory, transportation, and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with simulation libraries like SimPy or similar.
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, Python.
- Proficient with BI software (preferably Power BI).
- Ability to communicate complex processes and ideas in easily digestible ways to any level of the organization.
Good To Have :
- Masters degree in data science or other quantitative fields (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.
- Experience with platforms like Databricks / Microsoft Fabric.
