Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Scala Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable software systems with a strong focus on functional programming principles. You will contribute to building robust microservices, follow test-driven development (TDD) practices, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

This position offers a hybrid work model with flexibility to work remotely.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Scala.

- Build and enhance microservices-based architectures using functional programming concepts.

- Implement test-driven development (TDD) and write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

- Work with AWS services, particularly Amazon S3, to support cloud-based solutions.

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver robust software solutions.

- Utilize Git for version control and follow best practices for code management.

- Apply Akka actor model for building concurrent and distributed systems.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to standards.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across environments.

- Work effectively in Windows and Linux development environments.

- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Scala.

- 1+ years of experience working with AWS, including Amazon S3.

- Strong understanding of functional programming concepts.

- Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.

- Hands-on experience with Akka (Actor Model).

- Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.

- Ability to write clear, clean, and testable code.

- Experience working in Linux and Windows environments.

Experience :

- 3+ years of overall software development experience.

- Prior experience as a Scala Developer in production environments.

Nice to Have / Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Rust.

- Familiarity with additional AWS services.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
