Role Overview :
As a Senior Data Engineer based in Pune, you will serve as the backbone of our data infrastructure, architecting scalable pipelines that transform raw information into actionable business intelligence.
You will collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and software engineering teams to bridge the gap between complex data architecture and high-impact business outcomes. Your daily contributions will directly influence our decision-making processes, ensuring that our stakeholders have reliable, real-time access to the insights needed to drive our competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ensure seamless data ingestion from diverse sources, enabling the analytics team to perform high-fidelity modeling.
- Optimize existing data warehouse performance to reduce latency, directly improving the efficiency of reporting dashboards used by executive leadership.
- Implement rigorous data quality frameworks and monitoring systems to guarantee the integrity and reliability of data assets across the enterprise.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical specifications that support long-term product growth.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Mandatory Skillset: Scala, Hadoop, Spark, Python, Data Engineer
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in building and managing large-scale data platforms using cloud-native technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCP, with a focus on cost-optimization and performance.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, coupled with a deep understanding of distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark to handle complex data transformation tasks.
- Proven ability to communicate technical architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between engineering efforts and business objectives.
- Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to troubleshoot complex data bottlenecks in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field, reflecting a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
