Role Overview :

We are building next-generation SaaS and Voice AI platforms, and we are looking for a Working Engineering Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team of 4 - 6 engineers.

This is not a pure people management role, nor is it a hands-off strategy job. It is a true hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to shape an engineering culture, grow engineers, and still keep their hands dirty in the codebase.

What Youll Do :

- Own Delivery : Sequence work, remove friction, and ship on schedule without burning out your team.

- Set the Technical Bar : Drive code review culture and enforce high standards for testing, quality, and observability by examplenot memos.

- Grow Engineers : Run meaningful 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and coach your engineers into future leaders.

- Architect & Code : Build across web, backend services, and AI/voice integrations. Step into the codebase where it matters most.

- Partner with the CTO : Translate product strategy into execution plans, surfacing trade-offs early and owning outcomes.

- Build Operating Rhythm : Run efficient sprint planning, retrospectives, and incident reviews that help a high-velocity team scale effortlessly.

Core Requirements :

- 5 - 6+ Years Total Engineering Experience, with at least 1 - 2 years in a Lead, Tech Lead, or EM capacity.

- Active Coding Ability : Deep hands-on strength in at least two of Node.js, Python, or React, with enough range in the third to review code and unblock engineers.

- People Management Track Record : Direct experience conducting 1:1s, giving constructive feedback, and owning team growth.

- Sound Systems Judgment : Ability to analyze architectural designs, spot load-bearing assumptions, and prevent failures before they happen.

- Multi-Domain Context : Comfort navigating both SaaS application workflows and Voice AI architectures.

Nice-to-Haves :

- Go Experience : Working knowledge of Go (used in parts of our stack).

- Voice & Real-Time Tech : Hands-on experience with WebRTC, streaming pipelines, or LLM/ASR/TTS integrations.

- Startup DNA : Prior experience as an early/founding engineer or first EM in a fast-paced, high-growth startup.

- Operational Maturity : Background in managing observability systems, on-call rotations, and post-incident reviews.
