About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager Software Development Manager to lead software engineering, digital technology initiatives, and IT architecture. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across software development, cloud and on-premise hosting, DevSecOps, and enterprise architecture while ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions. This role requires strong stakeholder management, vendor management, technical pre-sales exposure, and hands-on expertise in modern web technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Technology Leadership :

- Provide technical leadership for digital technology teams across software engineering and architecture.

- Lead full-stack solution design, cloud/on-premise hosting, deployment architecture, and operating models.

- Define and implement scalable technology standards and best practices.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance DevSecOps pipelines and software delivery.

- Ensure system scalability, security, and high availability.

2. Software Development :

- Lead development teams building enterprise applications.

- Drive architecture decisions and technology roadmap.

- Ensure adoption of modern engineering practices and coding standards.

- Guide teams in delivering high-quality, scalable digital platforms.

3. Stakeholder & Client Management :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Communicate project risks, issues, and mitigation plans proactively.

- Align technology initiatives with business objectives.

- Provide technical pre-sales support for RFIs, RFPs, and bids.

4. Project & Vendor Management :

- Manage technology partners and external vendors.

- Ensure delivery within timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Monitor SLA compliance and vendor performance.

- Prepare and manage digital technology budgets.

5. Governance & Innovation :

- Implement enterprise architecture governance and compliance standards.

- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

- Drive product development initiatives aligned with business goals.

- Maintain documentation for application deployments, architecture, and operational processes.

- Share technical learnings and best practices across teams.

6. Sustainability & Compliance :

- Promote responsible use of resources.

- Adhere to organizational Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies.

- Ensure compliance with Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ABMS) guidelines.

- Uphold ethical business practices and identify bribery-related risks where applicable.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Master's degree preferred.

- Equivalent professional certifications will also be considered.

Experience Required :

- 12+ years of progressive experience in Digital Technology.

- 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in one or more of: React, Angular, Rust, Go, Node.js.

- Strong understanding of Digital Online Technologies and Mobile Applications.

- Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

- Experience leading enterprise software development teams.

- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and on-premise hosting environments.

- Experience with DevSecOps and modern deployment pipelines.
