About the role :

An international consulting company serving clients across distribution, IT services, and finance is building a modern data and AI platform, and we are looking for a hands-on Data Architect to define and build the structure behind it. This is a permanent, builder-architect role : you will design the architecture and implement it yourself in Snowflake - modeling, prototyping, and validating, not just diagramming.

Role & responsibilities :

- Own the end-to-end design of our data architecture across Snowflake, BI, and AI/ML systems

- Design and hands-on build data models (dimensional / star schema, data vault, or hybrid) serving both BI and analytical/ML needs

- Architect Snowflake environments : account strategy, virtual warehouses, RBAC, data sharing, and cost governance

- Define and enforce data modeling and ETL/ELT standards; establish pipeline design patterns for the team

- Build and optimize ETL/ELT frameworks; prototype and validate architectural decisions directly in SQL and Python

- Establish data governance : cataloging, lineage, classification, quality, and access control

- Mentor data engineers and align BI, ML, and AI teams on a coherent architecture

Preferred candidate profile :

- 7+ years in data engineering or architecture, with 3+ years in an architecture or technical leadership role

- Deep, hands-on Snowflake expertise : warehouses, resource monitors, RBAC, masking, row-level access, cost optimization

- Strong independent data modeling - dimensional / star schema, data vault, or hybrid - able to model end to end without handoff

- Hands-on SQL and Python; comfortable building and validating, not only designing

- Experience designing ETL/ELT at enterprise scale and setting team standards

- Must be able to work on-site in Delhi or Hyderabad

- Nice to have : SnowPro Core or Advanced Architect certification; dbt and modern data stack tooling
