We are looking for an Automotive System Engineer with 4 to 9 years of experience in system engineering, SIL/PIL automation, and automotive embedded systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Python-based automation, C development, vehicle architecture, diagnostics, J1939 communication, and functional safety, with domain knowledge of steering and braking systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain SIL/PIL automation frameworks and test scripts using Python.
- Perform C development and support embedded software development activities.
- Analyze system requirements and translate them into technical specifications and validation requirements.
- Work on automotive diagnostics and communication protocols, including J1939.
- Support system engineering activities for steering and braking systems.
- Analyze and contribute to vehicle architecture and zonal architecture development.
- Perform system-level integration, testing, debugging, and issue analysis.
- Conduct and support DFMEA activities in accordance with AIAG-VDA methodology.
- Contribute to ISO 26262 functional safety activities across the system development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with embedded software, testing, safety, and system architecture teams to ensure successful product development.
- Identify system-level issues, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain system requirements, test specifications, analysis reports, and technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 49 years of experience in Automotive System Engineering / Embedded Systems.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python-based SIL/PIL automation.
- Good programming experience in C.
- Strong understanding of J1939 and automotive communication protocols.
- Experience with automotive diagnostics.
- Knowledge of steering and braking systems.
- Experience with vehicle architecture and zonal architecture.
- Hands-on exposure to DFMEA using the AIAG-VDA methodology.
- Good understanding of ISO 26262 and functional safety activities.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred :
- Experience with SIL/PIL testing and automated validation frameworks.
- Exposure to automotive simulation and testing tools.
- Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD and automotive Ethernet.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
