About the Role :

This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional business and technical teams to ensure robust, high-performance BI systems that meet both operational and strategic needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and deliver interactive, visually compelling, and insightful dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or similar BI platforms.

- Build robust, scalable, and high-performance data models using star/snowflake schema designs.

- Maintain semantic layers and data definitions to ensure consistency across reports and users.

- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) across various structured and unstructured data sources.

- Collaborate with data engineering teams to design pipelines and ensure smooth data integration.

- Develop custom measures, KPIs, and calculated fields using DAX, MDX, or LookML, depending on the platform.

- Implement advanced analytics features such as predictive insights, trend analysis, and performance metrics tracking.

- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand key metrics, reporting requirements, and operational needs.

- Translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure timely and accurate report delivery.

- Lead BI initiatives and contribute to long-term data strategy and governance practices.

- Standardize reporting processes and promote data literacy across the organization.

- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and internal policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of experience in BI development and data analysis roles.

- Proficiency in one or more BI tools : Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, etc.

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.

- Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, data warehousing concepts, and OLAP systems.

- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS (Redshift, Athena), Azure (Synapse, Data Factory), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow).

- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, SSIS, or dbt is a plus.

- Experience working with large datasets and performance optimization techniques.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
