Job Title : Technical Architect / Technical Lead in .NET, SQL Server (on-premise), and Kubernetes (on-prem).

Location : Pune, India.

Zywave is looking for an experienced Technical Architect / Technical Lead to drive the modernization, scalability, and technical excellence.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on with modern architecture practices and possess deep expertise in .NET, SQL Server (on-premise), and Kubernetes (on-prem).

Key Responsibilities :

Architecture & Design :

- Define and own the technical architecture using modern, scalable, and secure design principles.

- Architect solutions using .NET technologies and design high-performing backend systems.

- Design and manage SQL Server (on-premise) data models, indexing, optimization, and database performance strategies.

- Architect containerized solutions using Kubernetes (on-premise) ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.

Technical Leadership :

- Lead, mentor, and guide development teams in solution design, coding standards, and best practices.

- Review architecture proposals, designs, and code to ensure technical alignment and maintainability.

- Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and QA to ensure end-to-end technical quality.

Hands-On Development :

- Contribute to key modules and complex components using .NET and modern backend engineering approaches.

- Drive modernization initiatives, refactoring legacy components into modern microservices-based architecture.

Operations & Performance :

- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD setups, automated deployments, monitoring, and observability.

- Troubleshoot production issues to identify root causes and guide sustainable long-term solutions.

- Ensure the platform meets performance, scalability, and security benchmarks.

Collaboration :

- Work with cross-functional teams to align architecture with business requirements and roadmap priorities.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose relevant modernization efforts.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 10 to 15 years of software engineering experience, with at least 4+ years in an architect or technical lead role.

- Strong expertise in .NET / .NET Core, enterprise backend architecture, and API design.

- Deep hands-on experience with SQL Server (on-premise) including performance optimization and database design.

- Proven experience implementing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes (on-premise) clusters.

- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, containerization, and cloud-native principles (even if on-prem).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and monitoring tools.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and technical decision-making skills.

Must-Have Skills :

- NET

- SQL Server (On-Premise).

- Kubernetes (On-Premise).

Good-to-Have Skills :

- AI / Prompt Engineering.

- Microservices architecture.

- API security (OAuth/JWT).

- Docker / Containerization.

- Message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

- Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure) even if hybrid with on-prem.

- Experience modernizing legacy applications.
