A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a result-focused individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills to join Zurich Kotak General Insurance. The role involves overall responsible for IT architecture & engineering for Zurich Kotak General Insurance

What will you be doing ?

Strategic Leadership :

- Own the end-to-end IT application design & development and smooth production running.

- Drive identification and adoption of best practices, tools and frameworks for development & operations

- Ensure Architecture, design and development are always focused on strategic short term and longer-term business objectives.

Business Focus :

- Ensure all design and development activity is directly linked to business requirements & need.

- Ensure balance between timeline pressures and optimal design.

Technical Excellence :

- Drive speed to market with delivery of initiatives.

- Convert strategy to action by developing and maintaining robust architecture, design and adherence

to design during build.

- Ensure technical teams are staying current with emerging and newer technologies.

- Drive implementation of robust engineering and DevOps practices and tools.

- Ensure Information security requirements are constantly considered are implemented during design and build.

- Ensure identification and robust implementation of best practices for production monitoring, observability and alerting. Including proactively identifying problem areas and addressing.

Quality :

- Ensure minimal technical debt is created during initial build phases.

What are we looking for :

- Experience with applications in financial services.

- Experience with Insurance is highly regarded.

- Senior stakeholder engagement and influence

- Passion for technology. With hands-on experience

Technical understanding of multiple technologies, with more focus on :

- Restful APIs

- Spring boot (Java)

- Javascript

- React.JS

- Databases

- Cloud AWS, docker containers etc.

- Ability to document and communicate Applications Architecture to business stakeholders

- Ability to document and explain design to developers
