Role Overview:
As a Principal Architect for Observability Automation & Orchestration, you will lead the strategic design and implementation of next-generation monitoring and self-healing frameworks. You will work closely with global clients, engineering leadership, and cross-functional DevOps teams to transform reactive monitoring into proactive, automated observability ecosystems. Your work will directly influence the stability, performance, and operational efficiency of large-scale enterprise environments, ensuring that complex distributed systems remain performant and reliable under high-demand conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect end-to-end observability platforms that integrate logging, metrics, and distributed tracing to provide deep visibility into complex, multi-cloud infrastructure.
- Design and implement orchestration workflows that automate incident response and remediation, significantly reducing Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) for critical business applications.
- Lead the development of AIOps strategies to reduce alert fatigue and identify performance anomalies before they impact end-users.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define the technical roadmap for observability, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term scalability requirements.
- Mentor engineering teams on best practices for instrumentation, automation, and site reliability engineering (SRE) principles to foster a culture of operational excellence.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging observability tools and automation frameworks to maintain a competitive edge in system performance and reliability.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying large-scale observability architectures using tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, Datadog, ELK Stack, or Prometheus/Grafana.
- Proven ability to build complex automation pipelines and orchestration workflows using Python, Go, or similar languages to streamline infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native ecosystems, including Kubernetes, microservices architecture, and serverless computing, with a focus on performance tuning.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at the executive level.
- Extensive experience leading large-scale digital transformation projects, specifically within the 15 to 20-year experience bracket, demonstrating a track record of delivering high-impact solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment in Pune, balancing independent architectural design with collaborative team leadership.
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by relevant industry certifications in cloud architecture or SRE.
