We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and microservices. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, database technologies, messaging systems, and cloud based application development. The candidate will be responsible for building high-performance backend services, ensuring application reliability, and supporting production systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications and RESTful services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Develop scalable and reusable microservices following industry best practices and design principles.

- Build and consume REST APIs for integration with internal and external systems.

- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and development

guidelines.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and other development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution activities.

- Develop and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and data access layers.

- Implement event-driven solutions using messaging and streaming technologies.

- Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution for production incidents.

- Contribute to performance tuning, scalability improvements, and application reliability initiatives.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.

- Support CI/CD processes and deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 6 years of experience in developing Java application or services.

- Knowledge and hands on experience on Java (preferably Java 8 and above), Spring, Spring MVC, (Spring batch will be a plus), Springboot, Restful Web services, any SQL DB like PostgresDB, MySQL, NoSql DB like Cassandra, Dynamo DB, message streaming framework like Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ.

- Basic understanding on AWS and its services like S3, RDS.

- Knowledge and experience on designing, developing and maintaining Microservices using the latest

technologies.

- Knowledge and experience in developing, maintaining and supporting services live in production.

- Should have worked on Quality assurance tools like SonarQube, BlackDuck , Checkmarx or any similar tool.

- Should have worked and has experience in using CICD environment used for deployments.

- Little or basic understanding on the DevOps or Network layer of a Microservice.
