Wordpress Backend Developer - PHP/Shopify

India Infotech is looking for a passionate and skilled WordPress Backend Developer with strong PHP Core and Shopify experience to join our growing technology team.

The ideal candidate should be able to build powerful, scalable, and performance-driven backend solutions, while contributing to continuous improvement of digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, plugins, and backend functionalities.

- Build scalable backend architectures using PHP Core and WordPress frameworks.

- Customize and enhance Shopify themes and backend functionalities as needed.

- Ensure high-performance, optimized, and secure code across WordPress and Shopify platforms.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues related to WordPress, PHP, and integrations.

- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and custom modules.

- Collaborate with designers, frontend developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Maintain documentation, version control, and coding standards.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- Strong experience in WordPress backend development and custom coding.

- Proficiency in PHP Core, MySQL, and OOP principles.

- Hands-on experience with Shopify theme development & customization.

- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, AJAX, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.

- Understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, and WP coding standards.

- Experience with performance optimization, caching, and security best practices.

- Ability to write clean, reusable, and scalable code.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Git/GitHub.

- Knowledge of WooCommerce, Liquid (Shopify), and page builders.

- Basic understanding of SEO technical best practices.

- Exposure to Linux hosting and server-side troubleshooting
