Project Background :
Launched nation-wide in September 2021, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) seeks to power India's quest for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by creating the interoperability required for health information and records to be exchanged seamlessly across digital platforms.
Position Summary :
WJCF is looking to hire a Digital Health Integration Specialist to support and help drive the Applied AI for Digital Health Integration track, embedded within the NHA. This is a hands-on, technical role for someone who takes strong ownership of their work.
Key Responsibilities :
- Contribute to the design, prototyping, and deployment of agentic AI workflows that streamline and automate ABHA creation, HPR and HFR registration.
- Support the technical conceptualisation and build-out of Sandbox 2.0, a next-generation sandbox that streamlines the ABDM integration and NHCX integration process through AI-enabled workflows.
- Evaluate, prototype, and productionise AI, machine-learning, large-language-model, and agentic solutions; define solution architectures, data pipelines, and integration patterns.
- Embed privacy-by-design and strong health data governance across all workflows, ensuring alignment with the DPDP Act 2023.
- Support the preparation of technical specifications, scope-of-work documents, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence or machine learning, engineering, or a closely related field.
- 5 or more years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or software engineering, including hands-on delivery of AI or data-driven solutions into production.
- Demonstrated experience with applied AI, such as large language models, agentic AI workflows, or end-to-end machine-learning pipelines.
Skills & Traits :
- Good understanding of the DPDP Act 2023 and health data governance.
- Strong, hands-on technical skills in Python and modern AI, machine-learning, and LLM or agentic frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline/ETL (e.g., Airflow, dbt, or equivalent) and in version control (e.g., Git).
- Strong system design and architecture ability to take solutions from prototype to production-ready at scale.
