About the Role:
Airowire Networks is looking for an experienced Wireless Network Engineer with strong expertise in enterprise Wi-Fi design, RF engineering, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing enterprise wireless environments and supporting large-scale campus, branch, and high-density networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise wireless networks.
- Perform RF planning, wireless site surveys, coverage analysis, and capacity planning using tools such as Ekahau or AirMagnet.
- Configure and manage enterprise wireless platforms including Cisco, Aruba, Mist, and Ruckus.
- Configure wireless controllers, access points, SSIDs, VLAN mappings, mobility groups, and roaming.
- Provide L3/L4 support for critical wireless incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
- Troubleshoot RF interference, coverage gaps, latency, packet loss, roaming issues, and connectivity problems.
- Plan and execute Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 upgrades and migrations.
- Apply strong RF fundamentals including channel planning, transmit power optimization, interference mitigation, and high-density wireless design.
- Work with TCP/IP, routing and switching fundamentals, 802.1X, RADIUS, EAP, WPA3, and secure wireless technologies.
- Perform spectrum analysis and RF optimization for enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with network, security, infrastructure, and application teams to resolve complex wireless issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of networking experience, with strong specialization in enterprise wireless networking.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying enterprise Wi-Fi networks across campus, branch, or large-scale environments.
- Strong experience with RF planning, site surveys, and capacity analysis using Ekahau, AirMagnet, or similar tools.
- Experience providing L3/L4 wireless support, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Hands-on expertise with at least one or more enterprise wireless platforms: Cisco, Aruba, Juniper Mist, Ruckus.
- Experience configuring controllers, access points, SSIDs, VLANs, mobility groups, and wireless roaming.
- Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, including: Channel planning, Power levels, RF interference, High-density Wi-Fi design, Coverage optimization.
- Strong knowledge of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax and modern Wi-Fi technologies including Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7.
- Strong TCP/IP and Routing & Switching fundamentals.
- Knowledge of 802.1X, RADIUS, EAP, WPA2/WPA3, and wireless security.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting: Interference, Coverage gaps, Latency, Packet loss, Roaming delays, Connectivity issues.
- Experience planning and executing Wi-Fi 6E/Wi-Fi 7 upgrades and migrations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications such as CWNA, CWNP, CWAP, CWDP, CCNP Enterprise/Wireless, CCIE Enterprise Wireless, Aruba ACMP, or Aruba ACP-CA.
- Knowledge of Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass.
- Experience with wireless monitoring and management tools such as: Cisco DNA Center / Prime, Aruba Central / AirWave, Mist Cloud, Meraki.
- Knowledge of Python, Ansible, or Terraform for network automation.
- Exposure to SD-Access, BLE/IoT, and QoS for voice/video.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale wireless transformation or migration projects.
