We are currently working on a real-time messaging and communication platform designed for modern teams.

We are looking for a Technical Lead who can take ownership of the codebase, guide development standards, and work closely with our engineering team to build scalable, high-performance messaging and communication solutions.

Role Overview :

As a Technical Lead, you will act as the technical backbone of our engineering team.

You will be responsible for :

- Reviewing and testing developers code

- Merging branches and managing repository structure

- Guiding architectural decisions

- Ensuring high-quality, scalable, and real-time messaging systems

- This is a hands-on leadership role. You will solve complex technical problems and mentor other developers. Experience with real-time communication protocols is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own and manage the Blue Pigeon codebase

- Review, test, and approve pull requests from developers

- Merge branches and manage releases following best practices

- Define and enforce coding standards and best practices

- Design and maintain real-time communication architecture using WebSockets, Socket.IO, and WebRTC

- Mentor developers and provide constructive technical feedback

- Maintain clean, documented, and well-structured codebases

Required Experience & Skills :

- 7+ years of professional software development experience

- Strong experience with :

1. Realtime applications and messaging systems

2. Socket.IO and/or WebSocket-based architectures

3. WebRTC for video/audio communication

Experience with :

- Git, GitHub/GitLab, and branch management strategies

- CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments

- Cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure)

Solid understanding of :

- System architecture, API design, and scalability

- Performance optimization and security best practices

- Strong communication skills and leadership mentality

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Background in SaaS messaging apps or video/audio communication platforms

- Startup or fast-paced environment experience
