Virtusa - Senior Java Full Stack Developer/Technical Lead

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Java Full Stack Senior Developer / Technical Lead with 6 - 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.

- Build robust RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot.

- Develop and implement microservices-based architectures.

- Apply core Java concepts, including OOPs, Collections, Multithreading, Exception Handling, and Java 8+ features.

- Work with Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Hibernate.

- Develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using React.js or Angular.

- Build reusable UI components and frontend modules.

- Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs and microservices.

- Work with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

- Design and develop distributed applications using Microservices architecture.

- Implement service-to-service communication and API integrations.

- Work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

- Design database schemas, write complex SQL queries, and optimize database performance.

- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.

- Participate in technical discussions, solution design, and architecture decisions.

- Review code and ensure adherence to development standards.

- Guide junior developers and support the team in resolving technical challenges.

- Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and delivery activities.

Required Experience & Qualifications :

- 6 - 10 years of overall experience in software development.

- Strong hands-on experience in Java backend development.

- Excellent working knowledge of Spring Boot and Microservices.

- Hands-on frontend development experience using React.js or Angular.

- Must have independently developed backend services as well as frontend components.

- Experience in integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.

- Good understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudWatch.

- Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ.

- Experience with Redis and MongoDB.

- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.

- Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, Jest, or Jasmine.

- Exposure to application security, OAuth2, and JWT.
