Virtusa - Lead Full Stack Engineer - React.js/Node.js

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer to lead the development, enhancement, and production support of enterprise data engineering applications built using React.js, Node.js, Databricks, and AWS.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, enhancement, and support of scalable enterprise web applications.

- Develop modern frontend applications using React.js and backend services using Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

- Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs and application services.

- Design and optimize data access and workloads using Databricks SQL and Delta Lake.

- Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding, security, performance, and development standards.

- Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development for coding, refactoring, unit-test generation, documentation, and developer productivity.

- Troubleshoot complex application, data, infrastructure, and production issues.

- Identify opportunities for application modernization, automation, performance improvement, and engineering efficiency.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, estimation, planning, and delivery activities.

Requirements :

- 7 - 10 years of experience in software engineering, with 8+ years of hands-on Full Stack Development experience preferred.

- Strong expertise in React.js and Node.js.

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

- Hands-on experience with REST API development and integration.

- Strong experience with Databricks SQL and Delta Lake.

- Good hands-on experience with AWS, particularly S3, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.

- Strong knowledge of Git and GitHub.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

- Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices.
