Virtusa - Full Stack Developer -.Net/React.js

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced .NET Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core, React/Next.js, REST APIs, microservices, and modern CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate should have experience building distributed systems using resilient and event-driven architectures, along with exposure to cloud platforms and relational databases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using .NET Core/.NET 6/.NET 8 and modern frontend technologies.

- Develop robust REST APIs and microservices for distributed enterprise applications.

- Design and implement event-driven communication, resilient services, and microservices design patterns.

- Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

- Build and maintain applications using React/Next.js or Angular, with preference for React/Next.js.

- Design and optimize database solutions using MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent relational databases.

- Implement automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines using TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.

- Manage source code using Git-based version control and support application deployments using tools such as Octopus Deploy or equivalent.

- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications and services on public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

- Implement application monitoring and observability using tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.

- Work with event-streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka where required.

- Participate in architecture and design discussions and apply OOP principles, design patterns, and clean coding practices.

- Troubleshoot application, integration, performance, and production issues and drive root-cause resolution.

- Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.

- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements :

- 5 - 10 years of industry experience, with 6+ years preferred.

- Strong hands-on expertise in .NET Core/.NET 6/.NET 8 and C#.

- Strong experience building REST APIs and microservices.

- Mandatory understanding of event-driven architecture, resilient design, distributed systems, and microservices design patterns.

- Strong frontend development experience using TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.

- Strong hands-on expertise in at least one modern JavaScript framework : React/Next.js or Angular, with preference for React/Next.js.

- Strong understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.

- Hands-on experience with at least one relational database : MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

- Experience with Git and CI/CD, using TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools.

- Experience with deployment automation tools such as Octopus Deploy or equivalent.

- Good knowledge of at least one cloud platform, with AWS preferred.

- Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms would be an advantage.

- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent monitoring/observability tools would be an advantage.

- Exposure to Python would be an advantage.

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
