Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced GenAI Technical Lead with strong expertise in Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), and enterprise AI application development.

The role involves designing and building scalable GenAI solutions, integrating AI capabilities with Python-based microservices, and leading technical design and implementation.

The ideal candidate will combine hands-on development expertise with strong architectural skills to deliver secure, efficient, and production-ready AI applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and integrate Generative AI capabilities into Python-based microservices and enterprise applications.

- Build and deploy Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and agent-based applications to address business requirements.

- Integrate enterprise LLM APIs and locally deployed language models into production applications.

- Develop effective prompt engineering strategies and context assembly techniques to improve response quality and relevance.

- Optimise LLM applications for cost, latency, throughput, and context utilisation while maintaining output quality.

- Design scalable AI application architectures, including model integration, retrieval pipelines, orchestration, and backend services.

- Define and implement security, privacy, access control, and data protection measures for enterprise GenAI applications.

- Create High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), sequence diagrams, and technical specifications.

- Evaluate LLMs, GenAI frameworks, and emerging technologies to identify suitable approaches for enterprise use cases.

- Implement validation, testing, monitoring, error handling, and guardrails to improve the reliability and safety of AI-generated outputs.

- Collaborate with software engineering, data, product, and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

- Lead technical discussions, review implementation approaches, troubleshoot complex issues, and establish development best practices.

- Mentor developers and guide the team on GenAI architecture, coding standards, performance optimisation, and production deployment.

- Ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise engineering standards.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8 - 9 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or related technical roles, with strong hands-on experience in Generative AI development.

- Strong proficiency in Python and experience developing microservices and REST APIs.

- Hands-on experience building and deploying RAG-based or agent-based AI applications.

- Practical experience integrating enterprise LLM APIs or locally deployed language models.

- Strong understanding of prompt engineering, context management, embeddings, vector search, and LLM orchestration.

- Experience optimising LLM applications for cost, response latency, token usage, and context utilisation.

- Understanding of enterprise AI security, including data privacy, authentication, authorisation, access controls, and protection against prompt injection.

- Ability to create HLDs, LLDs, sequence diagrams, and technical architecture documentation.

- Experience with API integration, backend system design, testing, debugging, and production troubleshooting.

- Good understanding of scalable application architecture, code quality, and software development best practices.

- Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
