We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure support, automation, and DevOps practices. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable systems that support our enterprise and cloud environments. You will serve as a technical lead, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across teams to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Systems Administration & Support :
- Manage and support Windows, Linux, and cloud-based servers (Azure, AWS, VMware).
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues from IT support teams.
Infrastructure & DevOps :
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Automate system provisioning, configuration management, and deployments.
Cloud & Virtualization:
- Design and optimize cloud environments for scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Manage VMware clusters, storage systems, and networking.
- Support containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) where applicable.
Security & Compliance:
- Enforce identity and access management best practices (Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, MFA).
- Implement and monitor security hardening, patching, and vulnerability management.
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards (ISO, SOC2, HIPAA, etc.).
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Partner with developers, network engineers, and security teams to deliver resilient solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the IT organization.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews.
An Ideal Candidate Will Have :
- 5 to 8+ years in Systems Engineering, DevOps, or IT Infrastructure roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux administration.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Hyperflex stack or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Expertise in automation & scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog).
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
