Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Vehicle Interface Engineer to join our automotive engineering team in Bangalore/Pune. In this role, you will be at the intersection of software and hardware, bridging the gap between vehicle signals and the Android Automotive OS (AAOS) environment.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems architects, HMI designers, and vehicle integration engineers, to ensure seamless communication between the car's electronic control units and the infotainment system.

Your contributions will directly impact the end-user experience by ensuring that critical vehicle data-from climate control to battery status-is accurately rendered and responsive, ultimately defining the reliability and performance of our next-generation connected vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and implement robust Vehicle HAL (VHAL) layers to facilitate high-speed data exchange between the vehicle bus and the Android framework, ensuring low-latency performance for critical automotive features.

- Develop and maintain complex Car Business Logic (Car BL) modules to manage vehicle state transitions, ensuring that system behaviors align with safety standards and user expectations.

- Execute comprehensive IFL testing and validation cycles to identify and resolve integration bottlenecks, guaranteeing system stability across diverse vehicle configurations.

- Automate testing workflows using Python and CAPL scripts within the CANoe environment to streamline validation processes and reduce time-to-market for new feature releases.

- Collaborate with global stakeholders to troubleshoot complex interface issues, providing technical expertise to resolve bugs and optimize signal processing efficiency.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in Android Automotive (AAOS) architecture, with a deep understanding of the VHAL layer and its interaction with the Car Service framework.

- Strong proficiency in developing and debugging Car Business Logic, with a proven ability to translate complex automotive requirements into scalable software solutions.

- Advanced technical skills in Python and CAPL for test automation, complemented by hands-on experience with CANoe for network simulation and bus analysis.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline, with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the automotive software domain.

- High adaptability to a hybrid work environment, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams while maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
