Role Overview :

Vehant Technologies is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in secure, mission-critical IT environments.

The role involves designing, managing, and securing IT infrastructure supporting Vehants security solutions, including R&D systems, production environments, and deployed customer systems.

Candidates with prior experience in private defence companies or regulated environments will be strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, manage, and secure enterprise IT infrastructure across Vehant locations and project sites.

- Lead administration of Linux and Windows server environments.

- Manage network infrastructure and security, including firewalls, VPNs, VLAN segmentation, and access control.

- Implement and enforce IT security policies, system hardening, and best practices.

- Own backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.

- Implement logging, monitoring, and audit mechanisms.

- Support secure R&D, testing, and production environments, including isolated or restricted setups.

- Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, SOCs, and security vendors.

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior IT team members.

- Lead incident handling, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.

- Prepare and maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams, and compliance documentation.

- Support internal and external audits, customer reviews, and compliance requirements.

- Act as a key IT stakeholder during customer deployments and critical project phases.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in IT / Computer Science / Electronics.

- 5 to 7 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / System Engineering roles.

- Strong hands-on experience with :

1. Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL)

2. Windows Server environments

3. Networking (Routing, Switching, Firewalls, VPNs)

4. Virtualization platforms (VMware / KVM)

- Strong understanding of security, access control, logging, and monitoring.

- Ability to manage critical infrastructure with minimal downtime.

Strongly Preferred :

- Experience working with private defence companies, security products, or regulated environments.

- Exposure to :

1. Restricted / secure networks

2. Audit-driven IT environments

3. Endpoint security, DLP, SIEM, or log management tools

- Certifications (preferred, not mandatory) :

1. RHCSA / RHCE

2. CCNA / CCNP

3. ITIL

4. Security-focused certifications
