About the Role :

The Trimble Platform team is seeking a visionary Staff Software Engineer to champion our AI-first approach. In this role, you will lead multiple high-impact initiatives, embed AI into our daily engineering practices, and serve as a technical bridge across the organization. You will architect solutions, navigate complex enterprise hierarchies, and guide stakeholders toward scalable, forward-thinking technical decisions.

Core Skills & Requirements :

- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of delivering scalable, enterprise-level applications.

- Exceptional communication skills with a proven history of driving architectural decisions in a complex, matrixed environment.

- Deep programming experience in Java or Python, coupled with a strong understanding of UI technologies, Web service frameworks, and NoSQL databases.

- Proven experience utilizing AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in daily workflows, alongside a strong grasp of prompt and context engineering.

- Extensive hands-on experience designing and operating SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS solutions on AWS.

- Proven track record of implementing and automating robust CI/CD pipelines.
