About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Looker Developer with strong expertise in Business Intelligence, data visualization, and modern analytics platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Looker development, Snowflake, SQL, and BI reporting solutions, with the ability to design scalable dashboards and semantic data models that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Looker.

- Design and manage LookML models, Explores, Views, Looks, and Dashboards.

- Build optimized semantic layers and data models aligned with business requirements.

- Work with Snowflake data warehouse to ensure efficient query performance.

- Implement Looker best practices for governance, security, scalability, and performance.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather reporting requirements.

- Create reusable metrics and standardized data definitions.

- Support Looker scheduling, permissions, collaboration features, and shared consumption portal.

- Perform troubleshooting, testing, optimization, and production support.

- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.

Required Skills :

- 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience with Looker development.

- 4 - 5+ years of overall BI development experience using tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, or similar platforms.

- Strong expertise in LookML, Explores, Looks, and Dashboard development.

- Experience working with Snowflake as a backend database.

- Strong SQL, data modeling, and BI architecture knowledge.

- Understanding of Looker performance tuning, governance, and best practices.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud-based analytics and modern data platforms.

- Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing methodologies.

- Familiarity with Agile development practices.

- Experience integrating Looker with enterprise analytics ecosystems.

Nice to Have :

- Snowflake or Looker certifications.

- Experience migrating dashboards from Tableau/Business Objects to Looker.

- Exposure to data security and governance implementations within BI platforms.
