WLAN Testing & Development Engineer :

Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled WLAN Testing & Development Engineer with strong experience in Wi-Fi technologies, embedded systems, and wireless validation. The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, debugging, and validating WLAN features across Wi-Fi chipsets, devices, and embedded platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute WLAN/Wi-Fi test plans, test cases, and validation strategies.

- Perform functional, integration, regression, interoperability, performance, and stability testing of WLAN features.

- Work on Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6/6E (802.11ax), and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) technologies.

- Validate WLAN protocols including 802.11 MAC/PHY, WPA/WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, WMM, QoS, roaming, and security features.

- Perform testing across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands.

- Develop and maintain Python-based automation frameworks and test scripts for WLAN validation.

- Analyze logs, packet captures, and test results to identify issues and perform debugging, triage, and root-cause analysis.

- Use tools such as Wireshark, QXDM/QCAT, WLAN sniffers, spectrum analyzers, and traffic generators.

- Validate throughput, latency, packet loss, connectivity, roaming, coexistence, and network stability.

- Test WLAN interoperability with different APs, routers, chipsets, clients, and network configurations.

- Collaborate with firmware, driver, system, and hardware teams to troubleshoot WLAN issues.

- Reproduce customer and field issues and provide detailed defect reports with logs and analysis.

- Participate in feature development, integration, debugging, and release validation.

- Automate repetitive test scenarios and continuously improve WLAN validation processes.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in WLAN/Wi-Fi testing and development.

- Good understanding of IEEE 802.11 protocols.

- Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi 6/6E and/or Wi-Fi 7.

- Strong knowledge of WLAN architecture, MAC/PHY concepts, networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, ARP, and IPv4/IPv6.

- Experience with Linux/Embedded Linux environments.

- Good programming/scripting skills in Python and preferably C/C++.

- Experience with Wireshark and packet-level debugging.

- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and RCA skills.

- Experience with WLAN automation and validation frameworks.

- Knowledge of WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X, WMM/QoS, MIMO, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, beamforming, roaming, and channel management.
