Role Overview :

We are seeking a seasoned Technology Executive to spearhead our engineering and digital transformation initiatives across our Delhi NCR and Bangalore hubs. In this capacity, you will serve as the primary architect of our long-term IT strategy, bridging the gap between complex technical requirements and overarching corporate objectives. You will work closely with the C-suite, global stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to drive innovation, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure the seamless delivery of high-impact engineering services.

Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping our organizational culture, mentoring high-potential talent, and ensuring our technology stack remains a competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving market.

Key Responsibilities :

- 18+ years of technology experience, with at least 7 years in senior / executive engineering leadership roles in financial services.

- Experience delivering complex technology transformation or modernisation programmes in a regulated banking environment.

- Experience with leading Core Banking proprietary ledger systems or platform vendors.

- Hands-on and leadership experience with mainframe environments (z/OS, COBOL, JCL) and Core Banking platforms at enterprise scale.

- Exposure to cloud adoption strategies in the context of mainframe coexistence or migration.

- Proven track record of leading large, multi-disciplinary engineering teams (100+ engineers) in a global delivery model.

- Demonstrated success managing senior stakeholders across business, technology, and risk functions globally.

- Experience implementing cloud native core ledgers (Thought Machine/ Mambu/Vault).

- Familiarity with APRA, RBI, FCA, or equivalent prudential regulatory frameworks.

- Executive Leadership : Skilled at leading large, matrixed engineering organisations (100+ FTE) and influencing without authority across business and technology stakeholders.

- Strategic Thinking : Ability to define a multi-year technology vision aligned to strategy, and to navigate organisational complexity to execute against it.

- Platform Modernisation : Proven capability in leading mainframe modernisation, cloud migration, or Core Banking re-platforming programmes, with pragmatic judgement on pace, risk, and value.

- Technical Leadership : Expertise in Core Banking platforms - mainframe (COBOL, z/OS), general ledger architecture, batch processing, and integration patterns. Ability to credibly engage engineers and architects while translating technical complexity for executive audiences.

- Engineering Excellence : Track record of embedding SRE practices, CI/CD, test automation, and quality engineering disciplines in large-scale banking technology environments.

- Technology Operations : Experienced in running time-critical technology environments with high levels of availability and resiliency; strong incident management.

- Risk & Resilience Management : Proven capability in managing technology operational risk, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.

- Delivery Leadership : Experience leading large-scale agile delivery, including vendor management.
