Key Responsibilities :
1. Program Planning & Execution :
- Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of automotive software, embedded systems, and vehicle technology programs.
- Develop comprehensive program plans, schedules, resource allocation strategies, and delivery roadmaps.
- Define program scope, objectives, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with customer requirements.
2. Technical Program Management :
- Coordinate activities across software, hardware, systems engineering, validation, and product management teams.
- Drive technical discussions, architecture reviews, and design decisions with engineering leadership.
- Monitor technical risks, dependencies, and integration challenges throughout the program lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.
3. Automotive Product Development :
- Manage programs related to :
i. Automotive Embedded Systems
ii. ADAS
iii. Infotainment Systems
iv. Connectivity Solutions
v. Electric Vehicles (EV)
vi. Autonomous Driving Technologies
vii. Telematics Platforms
viii. Vehicle Control Systems
- Oversee product development from concept through production release.
4. Stakeholder Management :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, internal leadership, engineering teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Conduct regular governance reviews, status meetings, and executive updates.
- Communicate program health, risks, milestones, and delivery status to senior management.
5. Risk & Issue Management :
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks proactively.
- Establish escalation mechanisms and drive issue resolution across teams.
- Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and dependency tracking.
- Ensure contingency plans are developed and executed when necessary.
6. Process & Quality Management :
- Ensure adherence to automotive development standards and quality processes.
- Drive compliance with :
i. ASPICE
ii. ISO 26262
iii. Automotive Quality Management Systems
iv. Functional Safety Requirements
- Support audits, process assessments, and customer reviews.
7. Resource & Budget Management :
- Plan and manage program budgets, staffing requirements, and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with engineering managers to ensure adequate project staffing.
- Track program financials, forecasts, and operational metrics.
8. Program Reporting & Governance :
- Establish program governance frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, risk registers, and executive reports.
- Monitor program performance and implement corrective actions when required.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Automotive, Mechanical, or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in automotive product development, embedded systems, or automotive software engineering.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Project Management, or Engineering Leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing large-scale automotive development programs.
